Taught by the amazing Broadway lighting designer Adam Honoré in 5 three-hour online sessions.Īs with ALL Studio School of Design ONLINE Courses, each session will be videotaped and shared with participants for a limited time in case you can not attend a specific session. We will workshop interview skills and social media feeds to increase your professional reach. This intensive 5-day ONLINE workshop will take you through developing your design materials to create your best and most effective portfolio. Marketing your work through an effective portfolio and social media curation This program is targeted to all teachers who may be interacting with their students in theatrical productions or theater courses. No prior technical or lighting experience is necessary to participate in this fun & impactful professional development workshop. Lunch is included as a part of the course fee. All of the activities have been prepared with NJ and NY state educational standards and coding, and participants will be given lesson plans that they can use in their own classrooms. We will be talking about career paths for lighting designers, and specific actionable lesson planning for increasing your student’s capacities in lighting and preparing them for work on your own school productions and a path into college and a career. This IN-PERSON full-day, professional development workshop will provide Secondary School Educators with tools for educating your students about the art and technology of lighting design.
